Second Nature Road Warriors Update 09/07/06

posted by Brandon Foster on 11th July 2006

The Second Nature: Road Warriors have just finished up with the Plettenberg Bay Wedge Classic Contest. Wow another great event. Thanks to all involved for sponsoring and running one of the best contest for bodyboarding in the world.

As per usual The Road Warriors crew walked away on top with Second Nature: Road Warriors Crew member Ian Kruger taking the Pro division! Well done to him for that a well deserved 1st. Then in the Dropknee and the Expression Session divisions we had Sasha Specker taking a first in both. A worthy mention was Second Nature: Road Warriors member Marc Jucker placing 4th in Pro and the Expression Session Divisions. The event truly is one of the greatest bodyboarding events of the year, a wedging, rippable contest wave, week long competition, a beach full of South Africa's hottest girls and guys, freebees all day long and the beautiful Plettenberg Bay beach. The high level of bodyboarding and beach activities are not the only things keeping this the event of the year. Action Soccer, bumping night clubs and restaurants, barbeques at the different teams of bodyboarders house's and video premieres keep the kids and adults alike busy at night. The contest is also all about developing the sport and helping local kids in the area by having a development division in the contest for first time entrants and a development clinic for kids that are not so well off.

The Road Warriors rocked Plettenberg Bay for a week but have now moved on to Mossel Bay for the Outerpool Contest. With R6000 first place up for grabs the Road Warriors boys are excited to show the locals what they got. Ian Kruger is fresh off a win and is out for
blood a second time. The Second Nature: Road Warriors Crew have relocated to a prime beach front property, right in front of Outerpool so they are sure not to miss out on any of the action in the water. So pull in and come surf with the Roads Warriors this week, you might even make it into the new Cea-leggs video if you rip hard enough. The Contest is going to be run on Wednesday, 12th July 2006. So make sure to enter now at www.sixty40.co.za. The Contest briefing is on Monday, 10th july 2006, at 6:30pm, at thePark House Lodge, 121 High Street, Mossel Bay.

The Road Warriors next official stop will be at the Wave's Surf Shop in Mossel Bay on Tuesday 11th July 2006 at 3pm: Come meet the pros and get some autographs, there will also be some freebies from our sponsors and the new Distorted Movement DVD showing in the
