Vote now in the sixty40 readers poll 2008!

With less than a month to go in the Sixty40 Readers Poll for 2008 isn't it about time you cast your vote for your favourite riders?

The poll runs annually from the first day of each year to midnight on the 31st of December and with 2009 edging closer and closer, you need to get your votes in soon to ensure that 2008 is the biggest poll yet. In 2007 we had 243 members cast 1523 votes which we want to see bettered for 2008.

There are various categories to choose from ranging in scope from the Best Male and Female riders to the person who you feel contributes to the industry via their selfless Service to the sport. You can either vote for the riders already nominated or nominate someone you feel deserves recognition.

Here is a quick look at how things stand in some of the categories as at 14 December 2008.

As it stands current SABA Circuit Pro and DK Champ, Sacha Specker, leads the way in the Top Male Rider category followed closely by last years winner and current SA Pro Champ, Mark McCarthy. Jared Houston, Wesley Fischer and Daniel Worlsey are lying in 3rd, 4th and 5th places respectively.

2007 SA Ladies Champ and last years winner, Pamela Bowren, holds a slender lead in the Top Female Rider category with Plett ripper, Lyndall Pells hot-on-her-heels. Inge Pieters, Robyn Sorensen and Lea Swanepoel hold down 3rd, 4th and 5th places.

Spex also leads the way in the DK front followed by newly appointed SABA Chairman and DK powerhouse, Derek Footit. Sean Tickner, Robert Starke and David Lee follow in 3rd, 4th and 5th.
