Nissan Reunion Pro Day 4 - Devastation brings hope

So I have witnessed some epic surfing in the last 2 days, just within these 4 rounds, actually, epic surfing is an understatement, it my eye opening and mind blowing. From the craziest waves to the very average waves, i have never seen a level of riding so high. Everyone risking it all because they know exactly what's at stake, those precious 2000 GSS Tour points.
The boys, Jerry, Boety and Wes, have been unreal. Always good in the competitors tent, and even better in the water, and let me tell you this SOUTH AFRICA, SA bodyboarding is being held higher than you will ever imagine, not just in the water! These guys who represent us are doing us more than proud and deserve every ounce of respect, awe, love and support that you are able to give. I promise you, it is all warranted!
And even though all of our SA boys fell out today, be it in round 3 or 4, I can say this one thing with confidence and mean it with everything in me ... The devastation I saw and felt from our boys losing whatever heat it was was massive, they were hurt deep to their inner core, and that's a GOOD thing!! Why? How can I say such a horrible thing?
No, no, my friends, this means that its something that they want more than anything else, it means its something they are willing to sacrifice so much so.
So this devastation I speak of is good. And it drives those who are passionate to use it and not be defeated by it.
I say this with assurance ... WE WILL HAVE A SOUTH AFRICAN WORLD CHAMP VERY SOON. MARK MY WORDS!
