Morley Wins Cape Classic 2007

After two days of competition Adam Morley(SC) was crowned the Pro Division winner of this years Debis Fleet Management Sport Unlimited Spur Cape Classic, a huge feet for a junior competitor. Morley took on the countries top riders and was victorious, showing that he will be a force to reckon with ahead of his time.

The Mens division saw Karl Leibenberg(CKZN) take victory over fellow CKZN rider Kevin Peerman(CKZN), with his cunning wave selection and managing to pull off the right moves at the right time, he pleased both the judges and the crowd of spectators on the beach.

In the Junior Division Jared Houston(WP) took the win over rival Micheal Ostler(CKZN), these to competitors are always battling it out in this division and true to form put on a great show for the crowd on the beach.

The Boys Division was a great battle between the up and coming stars of the sport of bodyboarding. Andrew Raath(WP) took the win over his fellow competitors who just could not do enough to overcome this up and coming bodyboarding star.

The Ladies Division was a real eye opener for many, as the ladies took to the small and choppy surf conditions pulling off moves that had many onlookers shocked. Pamela Bowran (WP) pulled out the all the stops and took victory, starting off a great year for herself in the South African Bodyboarding Associations national circuit.

Masters of the sport took to the water for the final of the Masters division. Local rider Steve Polinski(WP) was the standout in the division and took the win over SA Masters Champion Mike van Huyssteen (CKZN).

The Drop Knee division saw Ian Cambell (EC) take out his competitors one at a time, clinching victory and placing favourite and local rider Vaughn Harris (WP) in the second place position.

The 2007 Cape Classic is sponsored by Debis Fleet Management, Sport Unlimited, Spur, Science bodyboards, Reef Wetsuits, Island Style, Bondi Blu, Dakine, Sanuk, Arnette and Aloe Up.

The Intaba Raffle was also held and after a long awaited period the winners recieved their prizes. Thanks to all those that put in prizes and bought tickets, SA is one step closer to hosting an IBA tour event.

Ya it would be cool if a full list of winners in the INTABA Raffle was posted...
