Four slices of cheese cake and 2 days later and not much has happened other than some high performance free surfs and rounds 1-3 which has resulted in my round 4 heat looking like this: Damian King, Jacob Romero, a local shredder and me.
The standard of riding has been pretty low thus far but today this really changed with some pretty exciting heats happening.
The most mindblowing thing about Chile has got to be the prescence the big name internationals hold within the scene here. For your Hardy's and King's etc, it takes about 20 minutes to reach the waters edge from the scaffolding 10m's away. The extreme is when we actually had to run around the back of the setup to a waiting van, jump in and speed away to avoid getting mobbed. Bodyboarders really are stars here, you feel a part of something cool.
Here is a photo of me signing a few autographs, about 10mins before this was taken there would of been atleast 30 people. Now imagine the big boys, crazy.
