Stats: Extremely Multi-talented rider in all surf conditions, with loads of titles behind him. Secret Weapons: Keeps a "cool head" in competitions with a good array of moves.
Ross Painter
Stats: Long-time local at Kalk Bay. Was a competitor in the first ever Kalk Bay Shoot Out. Secret Weapons: Has a knack of finding the biggest and best wave of a session which in this contest, could come in handy!
Ian Thurtell
Stats: Consistent local rider at Kalk Bay. Knows the "ins and outs" of the reef backwards. Secret Weapons: Not afraid of mixing things up and trying new things.
Daniel Worsley
Stats: Previous SA CHAMP. Knows how to ride contests. Secret Weapons: Loves reef breaks and is a smooth and stylish rider.
Peter Lambert
Stats: Old-school rider at Kalk Bay who loves to find the most impossible situations to get himself into ... just to see if he can make it! Secret Weapons: Big built guy, no waves going to push him around!
Marc Whitelaw
Stats: New school rider at Kalk Bay. One of the fastest improving riders in the water at Kalk Bay. Secret Weapons: Has nothing to loose and will probably turn a few heads to riders that don't know him.
Jamie Higgins
Stats: Good all-round bodyboarder with good competitive spirit. Secret Weapons: Busts cleanly on lefts and will not give up till the siren has sounded.
Rory Lancellas
Stats: Excellent all-round rider at Kalk Bay. Stylish DK rider. Secret Weapons: Smooth rider with technical precision in each move he does.
JP Nortier
Stats: One of the funniest riders to share the line-up with at Kalk Bay! Secret Weapons: Sneaks the best barrels right out from under your nose! Don't say I didn't warn you!
Peter Brandt
Stats: Old school local rider who likes the craziest sets! Secret Weapons: Good barrel rider.
Josh Kleve
Stats: Very good all round rider. Secret Weapons: Likes to sit deep on the take off zone to get the deepest barrel.
Jayden Alford-Loots
Stats: New school local rider at Kalk Bay. Busts big. Secret Weapons: Hassles well in the tight take-off zone at Kalk Bay.
Julien Geffroy
Stats: Good all-round rider at Kalk Bay. Secret Weapons: His default move is a backflip ... A BACKFLIP!!!
Pierre Marqua
Stats: Long time old-school rider at Kalk Bay. Secret Weapons: Knows every barnicle and sea urchin by their first name, thus will ride barrels without ever hitting the reef!
Byron Loubser
Stats: Very energetic rider at kalk bay with good pocket moves. Secret Weapons: Will ride every wave till the bitter end and then some!
Donovan Basset
Stats: The real Hulk would struggle to man handle waves like Donnie can! Secret Weapons: Likes to charge the biggest waves out in the water!

Stats: Fairly new school rider to Kalk Bay. Consistent rider. Secret Weapons: Good Barrel rider who can boost out of the bowl.

Stats: 2006 winner of the Kalk Bay Shoot out. Secret Weapons: The "human wake" or "Jonpedo" will out paddle a Great White Shark! Never think he wont catch a wave ... because he will! Never count him out of a heat because he will bust the hell out of one wave and probably beat you. He's a machine at Kalk Bay.
