Day two of the final event on the IBA World Bodyboarding Tour saw some amazing performances in 3 feet dredging rights at the famed right hand point of El Confital.
The local riders are really starting to hit their straps and show the travelling pro's exactly how to use the tricky reef with staggering athleticism.
None better than Canary Island rider Alvaro Padron. He blew doors with his approach and shot off a warning sign over the heads of the top 16 to let them know that he may be a darkhorse to watch out for.
"I'm happy. It's a good wave", said the smiling assassin.
Alvaro topped both the highest wave of the day and the best heat score to finish as the days standout performer.
His top score was a 9.5 average for a long deep tube ride that left the crowd howling with excitement.
This was the second day in a row that he topped the best single waves score. He also took the honours for the best two wave average netting a healthy 17 points out of a possible 20.

Diego Gonzalez (CNY)
It was a bad day for the travelling Australians with Jayden Hunt, Brad Jackson and Dean Fergus all bowing out to the passionate locals.
Tomorrow will see the next round of seeds (back 12 and wildcards) take on the qualifiers and the Girls will also hit the water for the first time at 11.30 local time.
