The IBA (International Bodyboard Association) World Tour will be heading towards the exotic shores of Venezuela for the next round of the Men's & Women's championship for 2007.

In 2006 there was a contest in Playa De Parguito, Isla De Marguerita but this year the event has been re-located to Caracas in Vargas. This is the perfect venue for the event and organizers will be mixing it up in a "Festival" style atmosphere thanks to fashion parades, Extreme sports shows and live music.

The dates for the event are October 12-14th and competitors will be coming from all corners of the globe including Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Hawaii, USA, Puerto Rica, Aruba, Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Ecuador, Brazil, Peru, Columbia, Argentina, Chile and Uruguay.

Up for grabs will be some valuable points for this years Championship race as well as US$10,000 for the Women's and US$15,000 for the men. The event will also carry points towards the Latin American Tour.

One of the main objectives for the sponsors and promoters is to showcase the great location that this venue has to offer and to publicize the region as a whole. They also want to showcase the technical side of professional Bodyboarding and having the worlds best riders on beach breaks close to the shoreline will give spectators a great view.

Stay tuned to www.ibatour.com for all your up to date info on this amazing event.
