The Nomad Kalk Bay Shoot Out 2008 concluded in spectacular fashion, with Sacha "Spex" Specker claiming the coveted Last Man Standing Award together with prize money of R2000 and a Nomad bodyboard for his near flawless riding.
Conditions for the finals couldn't have been better and according to Spex are the best he has ever surfed at Kalk Bay Reef. Solid 4 to 6 foot bombs pounded the shallow reef with regularity, the winds were light offshore and the ever present crowd on The Reef were more than generous when it came to letting competitors have the bulk of the waves.
