Ryan Hardy was first in Arica in 2002 where he thought he had scored a 4 day trip to El Gringo, but when he returned in 2004 for the 1st Arica Chilean Challenge he scored non stop waves again but for 2 weeks. 6 years later and the Arica Chilean Challenge hasnt stopped producing epic conditions for the worlds best bodyboarders to showcase the sport how it should be in epic waves.
