In the last day of the Sintra Portugal Pro 2004, the public came to attend the contest, and vibrated with the excellent Bodyboard Show,accomplished by the best athletes of the world.
This contest is really the maximum exponent of world Bodyboard, the congratulations to Portuguese Federation of Surf and the City hall of Sintra.
Two semi finals of high level with waves of ½ meter with very difficult conditions, the competitors had to make an effort to catch the best waves, in this phase would be still of the road the two Portuguese in contest.
In the 1st heat of the semi-final Beau Day (AUS) get the 3rd place, Gonçalo Silva the 4th position, because he couldn’t repeat his last exhibition. To the finals goes Andrew Lester (AUS) in 1st place and in second, Luis Gustavo Vilar (BRA)
In the second semi-final David Pérez (Esp) with two good waves get 1st, leaving the 2nd place to the Argentinean Emiliano Tabare, in 3rd Jeff Hubbard (Haw), and in 4th Portuguese Luís “Bajolo” that didn't get to adapt the difficult conditions of the sea.
In the final, without the Portuguese, were Andrew Lester (Aust), Luís Gustavo (Bra), David Pérez (Esp) and Emiliano Tabare (Arg).
With very public to attend and with very difficult conditions in the full tide, David Pérez dominated this final, making the best wave of the battery (8.33) and a final score of 14.33. It assured the first place and it collected $6.000 USD for the victory. In second place it was Australian Andrew Lester with two waves of 7.00 and 6.50 and with a score of 13.50. In the third position it was Brazilian Luís Gustavo Villar that had made an excellent course until then. In the last position it was Emiliano Tabare (Arg).

We must congratulate the Portuguese Surfing Federation and the City hall of Sintra for promoting an excellent event, and provided to all very good conditions.
