um ok im pretty new to bodyboardin but i love it ....all i wanted to know is what tricks are the best to learn first .......cheerz

Handbreak spins and flop rolls!!! maybe throw some variation in and do flop spins and handbreak rolls!!

Hi Fletcher...

For me the ability to both ride and judge waves properly came first...once i had that waxed i started trying spins and rolls...practice makes perfect and like Hugh says you will probably land up doing flop rolls and lame spins before you get the hang of it.

My advice would be to surf as often as possible to get fit and gain a better knowledge of the sport, watch the more experienced boogers taking note of the execution of the moves and on which part of the wave they are doing them...

Keep at it and remember...it's about progress - not perfection!

Hey,
Another good tip is to try watch as many Bodyboarding DVD's as possible, you can watch what the Pros do in certain conditions plus it'll get you so amped to surf.
Factory 7 have a good selection and try get local productions cause you can watch how the S.A riders charge and who knows, you might recognise a couple of them the next time you're out in the water,
