Nice one!

On Chilternburts feedback - looks the same on IE Firefox. If you want to try something else then try fix the background to the bottom right and don't repeat (put this in the 'body' style):

background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-attachment: fixed;
background-position: 100% 100%;

Fade the image to white (top & left borders) so there are no hard image edges. Use a photoshop mask to do this, using the gradient tool.

The site is made for the avarage user...sorry...still learning

you have to view it on: 800 X 600 or 1024 X 768 then it should be all good...

Sorry don'nt know to much about designing still learing. Try to enjoy...

Site looks really nice, has some good potential.
Maybe perform a spell check or get someone to proof read any news you put up in the future.
