Yesterday, December the 12th, I agreed to help Johnny Maritz take a bunch of Jewish kids who have never bodyboarded for a lesson at sunrise beach. Anyway after taking a few photo's of the lesson, I put the camera back in the car, under some bodyboards. I then locked the car and went to go push the kids into some nice fun 1ft waves. After about 2 hrs of helping these guys to learn to boogie, Johnny said that it would be cool to get some more pics of them, so I went back to the car to get the camera... this is where it all went wrong! As I caught sight of my car my car, my heart sank. The front door wasn't properly closed, and the back door was slightly open! My heart started to race, and as I approached, I saw that my 2 brand new science boards, cell phone, uninsured Eos 400d camera, and the borrowed 300mm lens, where all gone. As I got even closer I noticed that my front passenger door was open. I ran around the car, and saw that there was a black guy lying passed out in my car with an empty beer bottle in his hand. All my shit was gone and the first thing I wanted to do is grab this guy and smack him in the face, and then find out where all my stuff was. Then I realised I was going to need help to interrogate him and try find my stuff. My mate Deon came to my aid and as I was about to punch the guy in the face, I saw, out of the corner of my eye, MY car parked right next to what I thought was my car... the drunk guy had the same car as me... same colour, same condition, same everything... except all my stuff is fine, lying in my car! phew... breath a sigh of relief. I am such an idiot!!! The drunk guy is still passed out none the wiser. I am really glad I still have my stuff and that I didn't deck some random drunk guy!
