Me hit reef, reef hit me back!

Hi guys

I hit the reef for the first time ever(richards bay doesn't really have reef) at a spot that I thought was sand! Pretty fun seein blood piss out your chest and hands and then having your brother skeg himself on the head. Ah good times!! Max respect to guys that charge big reef breaks, it a whole new world!!

Anyway the real reason I'm wrtitting is coz I wanna know what's happing with the comp in Balito this december??Anyone know if it's still happing?

Yes - it should be happening. I've asked the guys to post the event details ... I'll have to chase again.

sorry guys, should have posted something sooner - Wayne du Preez, who was involved in organising this event, told me that it was not gonna happen this year. It never really was confirmed in the first place, only a tentative possibility, and I'm not even sure why it was cancelled - but apologies for not putting the notice up sooner.
First SABA event for 2007 still stands as the cape classic, and as soon as those dates are set in stone, they will be posted up.

Ah k thanx, abit of a bummer coz I was really looking forward to it. But atleast i'll be free to surf Sodwana for the first time. Anyone know anything about the wave there? Been there like once when I was small.
