I need a few guys/girls who I can turn to for some editorial content so that there is more news being churned out.

If you enjoy writing and think this could be you then please get in touch with me through the Contact Us page.

    Criteria:

    1. You should have some ability with the pen.
    2. Know how to write and structure an article.
    3. Articles need to be proof read, spell & grammar checked before submitting.
    4. RELIABLE --- there is no point in news going out 2 weeks late.

Lastly - you need to be keen to contribute ... I won't be begging anyone to write. What I'd like is a few guys that can work together to get the sixty40 news machine happening and can run with it themselves - I'll just forward any news or requests on which I think need to be covered.

    1. I'd like the guys to come up with their own newsworthy content and hopefully all work together towards a common goal. A schedule will be a good idea and help keep a constant flow of new material.
    2. Contest news - we need to cover all contests including club and provincial events. In order to keep the groms stoked on bodyboarding and to aspire to greater achievements, we need to recognise their achievements at local events. It will also give them exposure to hopefully pick up a sponsor who can help them compete at bigger events.
    3. Industry News - We need to support our local industry by doing articles on our local companies. We have articles on ATD & C-phynz in the pipeline. So if I or SABA feel we need to support a company then we will ask if anyone can cover it.
    4. Local riders competing abroad - articles and/or interviews. Dan Worsley did really well in Aus which wasn't reported on. And Wes Fischer has just won a flowrider event and US BIA tour event in the states. We're currently trying to get a news release from them but even if we do, sometimes they need to be tailored to the South African reader as they will tend to highlight their local guys.
    5. Development - it is always important to give development initiatives some coverage ... for the development guys it will get them even more stoked and for sponsorship opportunities we will have an archive of the development events which can be referred to.

Finally, if we can turn out some regular news then we will be providing a better service and keep the stoke alive. News and features is where sixty40 is unfortunately very poor which I apologise for - but I need guys to step forward who are keen and who have the ability. We should be aiming to put out some real quality content.
