Hmmm...well I'm no pro on it,but I've ridden it enough times to know what's going on.First of all it's nothing like riding a normal wave, because the water is being pumped up towards you-so you've kind of got to pump yourself up and down the wave to get speed and move, but if you know how to bodyboard you'll be able to pick it up pretty easily.

There's not too much more about riding it I can help you with,it's really just something you pick up yourself when you're used to it.As far as coming chop goes, there's a dip to the side, behind the wave where you slide down and then wash up on these drainage grids. Most times you'll be fine occasionaly you'll get a bruise or scrape yourself, but people have broken things-best advise is to tuck in-when you fall off don't throw your arms and legs around-coz they'll end up snapped!also avoid sticking fingers out, those grids are just waiting for someone's finger or toe to eat!

Another tip that you'd pick up yourself after awhile anyway is it might be a good idea not to put too much weight on the front end and keep the nose of the board up. When you jump on face all the nice people waiting to see you rip,(no really, it's easier to do it that way) and you put your weight on the tail end to avoid a nice nose-dive-to-over-the-falls-combo! Anyway when your on turn the board so you'll be "going down the line" which will help you move deeper ect. The easiest way off with no pain is to get sucked through the barrel for me. But you'll see for yourself. And that should help you atleast to a certian point.

Just watch the other guys and remember you're not gona bust a tripple air reverse the first time you go. :D
