If Gordon Cockwell is keen to enter the Kalk bay contest he should get hold of Ian Thurtell on 083 642 2352 or 021 438 2310.... preferably today... The contest might run tomorrow or the next day depending on conditions. If Gordon is, in fact in Cape Town, I would also be keen to shoot some video of him.... get him to contact me on 083 313 6106 or Private Message / e-mail me.
    Thanks

well..at the way things stand as of this evening things look good for the reef from tomorrow and into Wednesday...the swell has decreased alittle bit in size but should still produce soild waves..we hope!
All riders are on standby and must call us at 6am tomorrow morning to see if its on..
At the moment it looks as tho WEDNESDAY is going to be the better day out of the two but we cant be to sure....

check back tomorrow to see what went down!!

the options look good for tomorrow, except the wind is not lekker, but check saturday out..... similar conditions and its offshore, AND jared wont have to bunk school. Only issue that day will be with surfers....

is sometimes right but mostly its wrong. According to last weeks reports Falmouth ( in the UK ) was supposed to be firing off its head, the only thing is that Falmouth is a harbour and the odd surfers and bodyboarders there cant even remember when it last worked. Saying that though it was pretty much spot on for Fistral and Portreath.

hey. is the contest open or not, I mean you name 15 ous, then you like my sister in town can she enter, ha no just having a laugh, Hope you guys get some cookers........wish the bay was open to SW swell, we should blow up Cape Point but i guess then we would say goodbye to the 550 hecter Zol plantation and the Skyf would be gone, no more airtime................. a ha, just to let the brothers abroad know that surfing alone is not that boring, the reserve gets a bit sketchy, paranoia takes you by the balls and a crew would be much bettter, so come back and stop thinking....Cape Town, summer time, The strips on fire lambastid in honey and cream with offshores in the evening... The militant not out in the line up... walking the reefer, ( His dogs name) hahahaha, okay so back to the k-Bay contest, watch out for the City council last time the Shoot out ran they tried to dissolve it because of the missioning across the traintracks, but keep a bottle of whiskey handy, you never know.....
Should be an annual event . not on the SABA but part of the better cape town tour, none of this glen beach , horse trails, long beach %$#dust, spots in the reserve, hoek, lands, Dunes, K-Bay, Koel bay, organised by I dont now who and I guess it wont happen just a thought to push the level of riding, like a shoot out, 5 man heats, 30 min, other riders judge, 15 poeple HO$H ja, or maybe a sea point VS lands battle Vs the boys down south, the winner gets a hand shake, free entry....... I know you guys are running these local contest so I guess its been done , so I'll just shut up.............. living in a dream world...but contest should not run in conditions that require you to push off the sand........ GOOD luck to all those involved in organising BB. contest must be a mission........ha

    Hey

well we got to the reef this morning to find a 1-2ft swell running in light offshore winds... So a NO-GO for the contest today..

The swell was small on the atlantic this morning but increased in size all day and is now clean offshore and around 6-8ft.. The swell peaks tonight into tomorrow morning and hopefully will push round into false bay..

Lets hold thumbs For tomorrow... updates to follow..
