hey guys, dunno if anyone will be able to advise, do hope so. my boet just called me from the UK and he is interested in buying a board called a "4 Play Element". I have been out of the scene so long that I did not even know there was such a company. Its apparently a 42 inch bat tail. Does anyone know anything about it and could they make a recommendation before he spends his cash?
    Thanks man... Sooz :D

HEy watup, I've had a 4Play, the Mitch Rawlins model, for over a year and it was a great board. The shape was insane but I wasnt to impressed with the materials used, they use an old school open cell deck for the top of the board and the rails, and it doesnt last as well as a close celled deck. What started out as a manly red board is now a feminine pink.

Dude, open cell isn't "old school" at all... its the preferred deck material by most (probably all) pro's and am's, as well as most shapers... i prefer it over closed cell by far!!

Its a pitty that 4play isnt imported into South Africa...
I heard that 4play is now being manufactured in Taiwan like lmnop, bz ect..

check out there website at: http://www.4play.com.au/

OPEN CELL = The sickest but it does incur some fading but only in reds and oranges from my experience, I've had 2 blue (different tones) and a yellow open cell boards with no problems to report....

I heard a rumour in May or so that Victory Surf might be bringing in 4Play so go check there as a start, I heard some guys had even seen the few samples they bought in?
