how brilliant is the vibes between fellow bodyboarders.
a mutual love of the sport gives us the ability to increase our perceptions positively to another wave rider. I work in a seedy club as the barman, and as usaul the day was filled with the usual rambling of todays filth. wife beaters, hobos, trash and many a violent persons, but today i met an unuasully productive person, a bodyboarder. as soon as this guy walked through the doors there was an auro of peace and pure stoke, he pulled up a barstool gave me a gunuine smile and calmly asked for a double soco and lime. after talking to this guy for about 30mins, we had a common love for the ocean and a friendship was sparked..
the words he used to describe the swells, with pure awe and a humble tone he described the days surf, his tone turned from a chattering mummer to a roar of contempt and stoke, he described the hollow beasts to the gentle rocking of the sets, his face brightened with exictment and his fingers trembled with joy, this man was stoked, and I was stoked for him.
as gay as this sounds, i for one believe that bodyboarders and bodyboarderess'ss have a mutual respect and friendship for one another, it just has to be sparked, so instead of causing bad vibes in the line up, increase the peace and just have a chat..
(unless its the mosselbay crew, drop in on those buggers.)
