beach bench survey

i'm studying industrial designing in cape town and rececntly recieved a project to design a beach bench.

what i'm looking for is suggestions on what features a bodyboarder would like to see in a bench at your local spot : roof for shade, board shelf...

a small true north indicator engraved in an arm, it woul make accurately determining wind and swell directions at weird facing bays a bit easier.

You could also add a drying rack for wetsuits????
a little locker so you can lock your bags away, so you bring your own lock and lock your stuff away???

maby a little vending machine............????mmmmmmm

a wind sock...... to see if its offshore,
an emergency phone to phone cops/ambulence etc toll free numbers only.

Ya u would need an emergency fone in plett at the amount of sharks there are at the moment. sheesh.

werner, dude, before this degenerates into a stripper fest and booze holders, i skim the bench with a board rack, wetsuit drying rack, wind sock, compass and emergency phone and or lifesaving box is a groovy idea, happy designing in cad my bru, skin it nicly in 3d studio.

but seriously, you would have to build something that doesnt look like the holy grail for vandalists and hobos. Something thats not gonna end up as part of someones house in Soweto.

If this bench is in CT u can make big wall fold out to block the wind and not blow sand into your eyes and blow all your shizzle away. aaaahhhhh i love the cape's waves; they are so good.
Oohhh ja and one more thing for the bench SERIOUSLY we need a sun cream dispenser.

thanx for all the ideas.esp 4 da strippers..?but the ideas that i might actually use would probibly be : the wind sock(if there was an actual compus in it, i would steel it); the wind barier; and the suit- and boardrak. you all win an all expences paid trip for 20 to bali...its in the mail......
the lockers were actualy the best idea, but the brief states that the bench would be rotar-molded(so its made of plastic) and being molded, accessories/add on's would push up the cost. not even mentioning the ever popular vandals (and the fact that the government would most probibly be paying for it.
