Need video footage for Cave Rock and Margate comps

As part of a video documentary about bodyboarding around the world, I'm hoping to include a segment on South Africa. Unfortunately my travel schedule allows me to be in the Durban area only from April 26-30, so I'll probably miss the upcoming Cave Rock Gladiator pit and some of the Margate comp. If you are filming those events and will have good footage available to share or sell, please let me know. You can check out the plans for the documentary and some clips at http://bboarderdoc.com

    Thanks!
    Dean Hamer

Sounds great! I look forward to seeing the end product.

I've sent you the email addresses of the two videographers covering these events - Jared Schafer and Peter Lambert.

    :D
If you're following the Wavescape Surf Reports and you get here early enough on the 26th you might catch The Cave Rock Contest yourself!
Plus if you're up to it you can cruise down to the Margate Contest as well?
Hope your schedule enables you to get to Cave Rock in time because I think it's going to be BIG!

bru you can keep your wind sock flapping from your hand  Conditions look peach for the rock tomorrow. Rather get the guys amped then try and bum everyone out.
Last week was sick, some bombs were coming thru but for the most part was quite inconsistent, and the tides were neaps. But then maybe Alistair should've run it by you before he put it on hold...

dude, no need to get personal, its a reality i have faced with numerous BWA events and 1 bayview contest... either way i sure do hope the swell arrives and the contest happens, everything that i have seen on this site (photos and vid clips) looks so sick and is the perfect marketing tool to get a super tour event here.
So chill hombre, meant no disrepect, was just looking at swell maps and am not seeing what you guys are seeing. a 2.5 meter swell equates to 3 maybe 4 ft waves and thats if you are lucky. As i said i want this contest to happen as much as you guys, no need for a dis.

didnt mean to offend...just a rather pessimistic view to take up the day before such an event. As dear old Dr Phil would say..."what do you get out of it?" hahaa :P

Just received an SMS from Al Taylor which goes out to the contestants ...
    Quote:
Swell on bluff is already 5ft solid and building - be ready for action tomorrow and 6:30 start

So if anyone wants to get down to watch ... make sure you get there early bells.
