I have always loved the warm and unoffensive seas of the fish hoek bay. I used to wake up at six am to my ciggarette and coffee before work on my balcony where I would watch the old grannies in their one pieces breaststroking their way into unfathomable bliss. I have been thinking hard lately and have come to the conclusion that one of the provinces most promising body boarding sites is going to waste with each delicious wave that peters out onto the gentle beach.
All those of you reading this from the surrounding areas are all urged to come down to Fishhoek beach on Saturday morning at about 07:00 and to please bring with you at least 4 x 50Kg bags of cement and shovels and picks. We are also going to need about ten Bakkie loads of good stones to mix into the concrete so all those with access to bakkies, please bring those along.
I am hoping to start mixing cement at about 8 and hopefully have at least fifteen meters of ready mixed reef by sunset. All that is left after that is for us to drag it out to sea and wait for those whoppers!!
See you all there.
