    Hi Guys,

Its going to be my first pilgrimidge up to the plett wedge comp this july and I want to know if anyone who as stayed there before can recomend a kick-ass place to stay. What would be ideal would be somewhere that was walking distance to the wedge, had a nice room for me and and me lady, and did not require selling a kidney just to afford it. Any words of wisdom?

    Thanks!

There are some backpackers relatively close by that also have rooms available consisting of 2 single beds, my friends stayed there last year then it was R200 per room per night and they can make u breakfast for u on request. (except its one mission of a walk from the beach after a long day at the wedge if u don't hav a car coz its all uphill)
    Good Luck :D

Oh and can't wait for lines of fire, will u hav copys for sale at the premier over the wedge contest?

Peter word of warning, there are 2 backpackers in plett and they both suck piles. When Pat and myself made the mission to plett we had the nasty experience of being turned away from the first one cause we were south africans and the other let us crash (after much begging as we arrived after dark in plett) but treated us like criminals the whole time we stayed there. The accomodtion sucked big time. They are overpriced and arrogent and i vowed never to let them have my money or recogmendation ever again. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

ST has the right idea, get a crew together and see about renting somewhere for the duration of your stay.

Yeah, sharing a house with some riders would be pretty sick... if anyone knows of a house to rent, (or can reccomend one they have previously rented) then I am all ears!!!!

    Shot!!

Dude I reckon that if me and some mates went, we'd camp on a tent on the beach or something cheap like that.

    Watzup peter,

There is a Pam golding in Plett who hires out houses. And other companies who rent out houses. What you could do, is check out a little plettenberg in the camp site- i know its not at wedge but i stayed there one december and it was inexpensive, good quality and big enough for at least six people. i will give you the number tonight as i am at school at da mo. der is also a B&B on da main road as you come down that hill towards the shopping mall- it included breakfast, awsome view of lookout. i think it was called the 'sugar bird' or 'sugar bush.' i will give you the name and the number tonight.

    Later D.
