Hankus gets hurt in Hawaii

Hey Kids got this off Fluidzone.com, Peter Quinn (ozzie photog) is keeping it real in hawaii and sending back updates and reports on whats up on the north shore this year, in his latest report, that deals with an alarming number of surf related serious injuries going down, none other than the Hank Features amongst the list of walking wounded. This is what peter had to say: "The latest casualty wasnâ€™t in the surfâ€¦ It happened on a bikeâ€¦ No oneâ€™s too sure on the detailsâ€¦ Hankus Loubser â€œborrowedâ€ Chris Wilsonâ€™s BMX bikeâ€¦ Supposedly the bike chain snapped (?) and he went head over the handle bars and got beat down. He fractured his left knee, bruises, cuts n scratches all over and received 5 stitches in his right Achilles tendon. Pretty hectic for a BMX bike stack? This morning at OTW he was in crutches and was bandaged up"

Well, apparently the boy is still charging - riding the Pipe Pro with stitches in his heel - and is through to Round 3 as one of the standouts of the comp so far. Joining him in round 3 are also fellow South Africans Ian Metcalf & Sacha Specker.
