    :? Hey Spatchy!
I read something in the paper a while back about the reef, apparently they wanna put it just in front of the old Seaworld site. Not too sure how far out but it'll be close enough to paddle out to and I think it's going to be about 3-4ft deep! Think they modeling it on Superbank and other artificial reef setups like it?
Still don't know if it's a good idea though? We'd have a super sick set-up with good, consistent waves BUT what would happen to spots like New Pier and North Beach, would they just pick up the scrap swell???
If it works though, DBN would be the sickest spot in SA, we'll have the New Superbank, The D-Rex Flowrider and Warm water.
AAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh, I LOVE my City! :D

    Ahoy,
i read in 1 of the zags that they where gonna make it at Wedge in durban,a couple hundred metres south of North Beach if im not mistaken.i reckon if they gonna do it they must do it properly.they must be able to move the direction a bit to suit the swell direction and size and should also be able to change the depth.also should be able to change the wave type, like make it long and peeling for surfers and then more dredgy and heavy with bigger sections for spongers.that would be super sweet ass.if they just gonna spend a whole lotta green on it and then just hope the swell direction is right and everything else is good then i reckon its a bit of a waste.justs my thoughts.consider them if you want.if you dont want to,smoke them.
