Would a bodyboarder survive there? I don't want to go ride it yet... Needs more experience. :-p
Just want to go check it out... Any experiences?

    Yo!

This is not really a bodyboarding wave IMO, altho it has been ridden on the boog

The wave is really bumpy and fast so big wave surfers handleit better on their long boards and their skegs help alot too.

I think it was Doug Cockwell who tamed it on a bodyboard years ago?

Waves like this are just way too bumpy for a bodyboard bru, but waves like the right, cyclops etc... are dominated on the boog, just as big but way cleaner woohoo!

New designs in the way of foils have been tested to make the ride less bumpy but controling them is alot harder cos the dynamics are alot different.

There should be some stuff on this site regarding big wave bodyboarding, sorry but I forget where and am in quite a rush!

    b kiff.
