ok... this post is on behalf of a friend.

he's just got back from the states, and bought himself a brand new customx while he was there.
Went 4a surf the other day & afterwards his board felt slightly heavy. Wen we tilted it u could actually hear the water running inside it. Ended up taking out the leash plug, and inside, just below the deck theres a big chunk of the core missing... almost like there was an air bubble in the material!!! so now it looks like theres water getting into his stringer (atleast thats wat we think). It def wasn't caused by him, coz hole on the deck is the right size, then about 3mm below the hole you can see the cavity. He used a screw driver to make the hole.

Does anyone know how to fix this, coz he obviously cant take the board back!!!

Hey grego, sorry to hear bout your friend.
    Thats sad actually.
I dunno if this will work but its just a thought.
You get those spray cans that spray i kind of polystyrene gel that solidifies after a while, they use it for refrigeration.
Maybe you could spray sum of that stuf in the hole an dit wil fill the core, and solidify.its just a theory, the best i can think of.
Or you can pm Tamega and ask him to ask rossi about it.
i just had a board made by him and it is sick!
Thats why we keep it local buddy,so that problems like this can be sorted out
    :D
    Pity
    Best of luck

    Yo buddy.

Sorry to hear about the board. That's so sad  Definately think you should let those guys know who sold you the board and CustomX themselves and make a racket about it

As for the hole in the board, you can try some blob, that you can get from surf shops. I normally use this to line the hole for my leash after i piece it. Prevents water logging through the leash plug hole.

    Hope u come right

    peace

    Sorry Bud,
To be honest, sounds like you punched your plug hole a bit too close to the stringer! Being hollow, the waters just gonna fill up that space, you can hear the little waterfall as you move your board from one side to the other! Bit late now, but next time try put the hole a little bit off-center??? :(

    that sucks,

hate it when stuff like this happens to guys.

take all the advice you been given and throw it, if you want it done properly find someone who fixes boards or makes boards proffesionally, its a brand new board and filling it with whatever might fix it but make it heavier??

try and find someone who can do it for you, if not then check the net for advice and if still no luck, try the filling ideas. ill speak to Marc from Rossiboards and ask for advice for ya if you want.
