south african on the world tour!!

i was just on the IBA World tour website,www.ibatour.com, and I saw only 1 south african on the tour.well that didnt surprise me because thats quite usual but what was unusual was that it was Vijay Maharaj. Most of you are saying who the hell is that?He's hardly even known in S.A! He comes from the small village of Blythedale and he boosts!!My cousin and I have always watched him since we were pretty young and to see him on the world tour with out even being on the SABA tour is pretty strange. Does anybody know him or know if the 1 on the world tour is the same 1 I'm talking about?oh ja...we really need some more saffas on that tour

There can only be one Vijay Maharaj ... and yes, the guy does boost. Good to see he is out there competing and doing fairly well by the looks of it. I suspect it would have been one of the comps out in Aus that he competed in - I'll try find out which one.

The 3 events which have so far been completed are Regional Events - 1 in Ecuador and 2 in Australia.

Just to confirm - it would be the Australia event/s ... according to Craig Maree Vijay has been travelling and working in Oz ... and apparantly competing.

Good luck to him for any further events - great to see some South Africans getting out there.
