hey man

OK whats big swell to you guys there? i went to cape town when the classic was on, kack waves man, (unfort) i came home and guess what, 4-6 ft swell hit Durbs it cooked for the whole week. keen to know your swell size there, and dont include Dungeons man you need mucho cash and balls to surf there.

Boet been stuck on the other side of the big rain and i can see that there are no real change in the size down here in Agulhas. Just a mega amount of wind swell.

The prediction on Buoyweather says 15ft at the peak, but what you need to look at is the periods. The longer they the bigger the swells wich means they are lots stronger and can push through all the stuff befor it gets to our great WP coast. And then party time - waves larger than 10ft

Hope it helped, I'm still stuck and no waves.......

Nice feedback, please send me pics of these "6ft" waves etc, Chappy i know you can do it, but otherwise sounds like you guys won the lotterry for a week, i dont believe it will reach 10ft but hey im always willing to be proving wrong. post the pics to me at [email protected], and add who you are and the size you think it is, ill speak to Kelly and mabybe even get a voters poll going on the size.

UM,BRU.I THINK THAT IF YOU ASK PRETTY MUCH ANYONE THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT CAPE TOWN GETS SOLID.THERE ARE TWO BIG WAVE COMPS A YEAR IN THE MOTHERCITY.ARE THERE ANY IN DURBS OR SURROUNDS.NO NO.

AS FAR AS MY SURFIN GOES AND BIG WAVES,I NORMALLY LET A PRO DO THE WAVE RATIN.THIS PIC IM TALKIN ABOUT,SACHA SPECKER CALLED IT AT SOLID 6-8FT.THIS MAN HAS SURFED WAIMEA AND SAID ITB WAS A MIRROR IMAGE.

BUT IM JUST A HAPPY CLAPPY BRO.PEACE AND LOVE.IF YOU DONT BLIEVE DOWN SOUTH GETS SOLID.BE MY GUEST,STAY HOME.

Right on the money Badger,dude.

Think the out of towners think BIG WAVES are anything bigger than a 6ft toothpick.

Tru waves do get big upcountry. But to get the real thing, you need to do it in the Western Province. And I start lookin when its more than normal BIG, ie when the outer reefs start breaking.

EG Bayview Hermanus starts to "crumble" only at 6ft. Breaking nicely, is only when it is lots bigger. Elands is great when its 8ft+ constant. Heaven, west coast, when you cab park a double decker bus in the Barrel. Stillbay, southern coast, when you surf it from the backline - half a Km out to sea from the piont, all the way past the harbour. And then some more secret spots inbetween......

There was no disbelief at all in my posts i just wanted to see pics of it, i know Logic is a CT Mag, and i have seen a couple of your breaks they are sick.

A far as the contests go in durban, well no comment , didnt really mean for the voters poll to be a size em up thing either, it was an idea and it seems a bad one for now , otherwise keep trying those contests man, if you think the paddle at Margate was bad, try the paddle on a sat at north beach.
