This What I sent to some of the SCBA members, Hopefully some other SABA riders can shed a bit of light on the subject.

Dear Adam and Mossel Bay crew

What the hell is going with you guys in Mossel Bay?You guys sound like bunch of wining girls. We want SA Champs in MB and no where else.Not everyone can want what they want in life.

I know you getting good at BB, but you'll never get as better at BB if you only stay surfing in MB. MB is mainly all right breaks and that what you are good at surfing these breaks. Don't get me wrong I still like surfing in MB it's a good wave.

So what if SA Champs is in Herolds Bay, you should be happy that is in SC at all. You should be saying to yourself, I'll be going to Herolds bay as often as I can get there and practice as much I can.

What I am trying to say to you is if you don't start a wider range of different surf spots you'll never get better. Left hander, Beach Breaks, Wedges, Reef Breaks, Left and Right Point breaks and ETC.

IF ONLY YOU GUYS KNEW HOW GOOD HEROLDS BAY GETS, THEN YOU'LL UNDERSTAND. Herolds bay is the perfect venue to hold SA Champs, Herolds Bay IS a BodyBoarding wave.

If you and the rest of MOB Mafia don't want to compete in SA Champs and don't want ride for SCBA, Then just shut up and run home with tail between your legs and stay in your little dog box.

You just been thrown a challenge, so why don't you take it by the balls and accept the challenge.

I surfed a lot of contest in my life and been at contest i didn't want to surf because it was mainly a left hander. EXPERIENCE IS WHAT YOU GET, WHEN YOU DON'T GET WHAT YOU WANT.

Any way I am planning on coming down to SA during SA Champs to come and show my face. I'll will be very disappointted if none of you MB crew are in the team.

No worries bru. I DON'T have a problem having SA's at Herolds (a lot of other Mossel Bay riders don't have a problem either). Just for the record, I didn't know that Adam and his parents were going to make a petition against having SA's at Herolds. And I AM stoked SA's is in SC and I don't mind where!!

We had our trials this past weekend at Herolds, the second one was moved to Kleinbrak and the waves were SICK!! Trust me Sven I know how good Herolds can get. Nantes, Stephan, Bjorn and myself, surfed it perfect this one time, super hollow rights and lefts with sick air ramps. I guess we just don't go there often enough to get more days like that.

It's also looking good sponsor-wise for SA's, so I think it's going to be good one.

Lastly, there's NO WAY the Mossel Bay guys will pull out of the team. We will surf our best to make SCBA proud.

apparently,the rider in question and his parents did make a pettition and attemted to get people to sign it?

Ive never surfed herolds bay myself,but from what ive heard its one of the sickest waves in the country.

Sven,i dont know you but i fully agree bro,versatility is the way forward.

I would really dig to know whwt the real story was,can someone please enlighten me?

Dear All Bodyboarders

Thanks for the input and replies to the topic. I wish the real story would come out, so know we what really going on in SCBA. But I have not got any real reply from the chairman/woman or commintee members as of yet(only a few lines from an ex-commintee member, as I understand).

I must say living halfway across the world stories do start to change when one speaks to different people. I am very glad that one the BB from Mossel Bay has replied to my email and wish all the SCBA team all the best for the contest.

But I do think there is a lot more that meets the eye in whats going on, from what I understand that there are parents that are upset and were commintee members of SCBA and have just quit the commintee because they did not get their way. Which is sad because these parents have got kids that rip in the SABA tour and furture potential for the sport in SA.

But I think that they should have come to agreement for the venue of SA Champs for example, 1st choice Herolds bay, 2nd Mossel bay, 3rd Victoria Bay and so on, keep the options open. Because HBAY can get to big for contest riding for all the devisions, but then again at time of the year the swell can be inconsistant.

Well the bottom line is that the commintee members should have come to a agreement. Besides SA Champs will come around again to Southern Cape.

To all the BB surfing SA Champs, I do hope that Herolds Bay willing off for the contest, so everyone can see for themselfs what it really like.
Because HBay is under-estimted by a lot of people.

I might be down during SA Champs, so I will be showing my face.
