RSA Elections: Registration for overseas voting closes 27/03

A bit of info for anyone keen on voting but is out of the country.

1. You need to be registered to vote (registration has closed) - check if you are registered online: https://www.elections.org.za/AmRegister/AmRegister.aspx OR SMS your ID number to 32810 OR Call 0800 11 8000.
2. If you're registered, complete form VEC10 (http://www.elections.org.za/Documents/V ... ublic1.pdf) and email back to [email protected] by Friday 27 March 2009.
3. Foreign Voting Day: Voters outside South Africa can apply for a special vote at their foreign mission on 15 April 2009. Please take your green, bar-coded ID and passport. Find your foreign mission here: http://www.elections.org.za/Documents/V ... 202009.pdf

Make the effort, i know its not as easy as it seems, the ANC has been fighting hook, tooth and nail not to make this happen. So druk them a pit and vote... even if it means hitchhiking from florida to New york...

Suggest you copy this and email to your friends abroad. You need to be registered to vote (and registration has closed) but better to have the info than miss out because they didn't know.
