    When did this happen Vic?

Yeah this is an ongiong debate here on the forum...

I suppose you just have to keep your eyes peeled for dodgy characters when you pull up, basically sussing whether or not anyone is acting suspiscious and keeping an eye on your fellow riders car.

It also helps to not take much with you to the beach.

No wallet, no phone and no extras...the less you have the less they can steal if they do break in and the less appetising your car is.

Guys... all that is happeneing is that the ANC is preparing your minds to accept car gaurds at those spots. One seaosn they break in, next season there are 10 car guards demands R10 a parking space.

Dont trust the ANC... they are... EVIL  man i love election years!!

Personally i would rather pay someone R10 to ensure that my car doesn't get broken into as opposed to having R2000 worth of gear ripped from it.

Common sense really...unless the car guard gets in on the action, which in turn would be common sense on his part.

Would you rather spend 4 hours watching someones car in hope of being paid R10 for your efforts (R2.50 per hour) or spend 2 minutes smashing someones window and grabbing 2K?

The plus side of one is that you won't go to jail if you get caught napping.

I think that the ANC are onto something here.

funny that what i thought i paid taxes for... so the police can do their jobs. But i guess i will have to resign myself to the fact the fact that the ANC likes to spend my hard earned tax rands on shopping trips to Dubai, 22 car motorcades, Shabirs hospital bill and Zumas legal costs.

Friggin police in this country are a lazy, useless bunch of pillicks....

Did somebody not state that the police have identifed those spots as theft hotspots... but they are doing bugger all about it.
Long Live the false bay and the Mountain Men.

I skim you okes should have a word to the Green Platoon/Patrol in that area, those okes are pretty hardcore.

The more you leave at home, the more stuffed you'll be if you break down? (usually in one of these aforementioned hotspots)
We shouldn't HAVE to leave stuff at home!

Why aren't the cops setting up sting ops or something?
I agree with Spy, cops are useless, always forgetting the servant in CIVIL SERVANT!
Eyeballing me with straight hatred when I ask a mate in Steers if he thinks they're on shift in steers while we pay their salaries or if they're off shift, in which case the four vans parked out front should be somewhere else ON SHIFT!

We should have the right to question exactly what they're doing and especially what they're not doing and they should be accountable!

Too many police also feel like if you have that value of stuff in your car you're insured and can afford to replace it, as stupid as that sounds because Insurance is the only scam more crooked and they make their money off of us telling each other this stuff and scaring in to us paying money every month!

Dont get me started on insurence....
ok here is how the scam works

20 yrs ago (pre outsurance, dial direct and the other con-artists) your car was insured, even if you left your door unlocked and it got stolen, they paid out. Now this was pre-gorilla grips, electronic keys, tracking devices etc. So the thieves didnt have to do much to steal your car, they would pounce in the middle of the night or whist you were in the surf, or the movies. End of the day, you paid your insurence, your car got stolen and you got a new car.. yippeee... note: No Violent CRIME involved.

Today you need all the friggin gadgets availible for these cunts to insure you. Basically the insurence company is minimizing their risk, but making forcing YOU to pick up extra rick via becoming a victim. Why the victim you ask? Well think about it, now the criminal needs your key to steal your car, and in south africa life is worth less than the dog shit under my shoe, so, the ANC fun loving criminal (anyone figure out i am NOT voting ANC) blows your brains out, steals your car and Mr OUTSURANCE dont have to pay out... COS YOU ARE DEAD!!!.
    Insurence companies 1 / joe public 0

Violent crime is a direct result of these bollocks insurance companies that we are forced to use. AND YOU THINK YOU ARE FREE!
Sorry to the HOFF if you think its a tad negative of me.

LMAO!!! Geez Spy take a happy pill and while you're doing that give me one too  I'm also over these f**kers screwing over us and trashing our beautiful country!!

Oh and by the way, the insurance companies still have to pay out if you are killed when your car is hijacked/crashed/whatever (assuming you weren't DUI). The payment goes into your estate. Don't ask how I know, just take my word on it.

    February 2009
ok i was incorrect on that part... but i am correct in the shift of risk from the insurance company to the individual, where the insurance company is directly making the individual a victum of violent crime....

BTW.. i am happy :D --- to be back in good ol CT. Wasnt actually in Jozie, was in Sabie, Eastern Transvaal. Friggin seriously beautiful part of the world. To mountain bikers, its what indo was to us surfers 20 yrs back, untouched, perfect downhills and no crowds...

The ANC is campaining big time up there, all over both provinces... and all the sheep are like zombies.. all droning the same tune...zuma, zuma, zuma......
