    Many a surf has been ruined lately due to a loud and aggressive kneeboarder.I go for a surf to get away from the aggro vibe...can't we just all get along?

    it gets so old. was a good day a short while ago in PE, caught waves all day, got one nice long wave, way down the line near the end of the wave a surfer was sitting, and this oke on a previous wave didnt want to paddle out the way while i was going down the line on the face i had to dodge him to carry on with the wave, nearly causing me to get a solid lip on the head, he just drops in so i call him incase he didnt see me, so he said "fck off!" so i did a spin to kick his legs out from under him, he falls off and i jump off 2.

    I start paddling back here this oke comes after me sweaing all kinds of things and asks me "how many have you caught in 1 hour???" so i said "i dont know 4 or so", and he tunes, "i havent caught 1"! is that my problem? no it isnt, if you wanna catch waves sit in the lineup dont sit on the shoulder way down the line. then comes the usual tuning "get out of the water with your sponge" etc etc. i wish i had a stun gun for times like that on me.

    these guys really ruin a entire day just because they have a grudge against a certain genre of wave riding.

    Eish - we all feel for you... I've grabbed drop-in's leashes before but it doesn't help the situation... Stay calm and score waves is my motto - The minute you lose your temper you've lost the stoke even though it's not your fault.

    Try my Wednesday surf... 60 okes out at a long left out of town. 3 prone, 1 dk, 40 shortboards, 2 fish, 2 minimals, about 6 longboards, 2 SUPs, 4 kiteboarders and 3 windsurfers..! The paddleskiers and river kayakers probably arrived later! Oh... 70% kooks! haha!
    Yeah, I wasn't impressed considering I bunked work to score but hey, I got a few at dawn.

    You can't control their actions but you can control your reactions.

    Wahahaha DC! U should know better dude...that place around Dec/Jan is just plain ridiculous!!! Every kook and his buddy are there expecting to get the wave of their life. They have no idea about "surf etiquette". And as for the windsurfers there...geez you wanna talk about aggro and fights?...just mention windsurfing to the "locals" :lol: I was there once with about 10 windsurfers whipping into every single set from outside the point and then one of them almost took a surfers head off cause he went right through the spot where we were all sitting catching waves on the ledge. There was TONS of abuse thrown at them by the locals. They just ignored the threats and carried on. They were all foreigners as well - apparently there to practice for some or other contest later that month. Sucked big time!!!

    @ iJonty: Dude that's the walk of life mate. Wherever u go there's gonna be one asshole that is gonna have a kak attitude and take it out on everyone that he feels doesn't fit into his perfect way of life.

    Reserve = one certain kneeboarder
    Llandudno = Wayne

    There's plenty others and most of us that have been around long enough know them and know how to deal with the situation in order to just have a fun surf without the kak. It's not worth stooping down to their level!!
