NO FRIENDS 2: FRIENDS OF NONE
First vido I ever saw! Jeff's flopped air forward in the opening is HUUUUUUUUUUGE and blew my mind, still does!

LOADED.
That video blew my mind, first real hawaii footage I'd seen, super hot topless model interludes and a Fear Factory heavy soundtrack!

Shew.... and shew again.... AT got trumped by nature which sucks.

Otherwise I just remember tons of Eppo airs, gorfs, grom abuse and minor nudity and their local band p-erformances from ozzie videos and a video which's name is on the tip of my tongue but I can't name it, something with dreams in the title which had tons of early LagWagon and even disco inferno as a soundtrack!

Chris Stroh of Underground Tapes was the biggest legend in those days, such insanely good films. I wish I could get them all again and watch Dave Ballard backhand DK at stupidly massive Shark Island...

I read somewhere (in an old riptide I think) that Chris Stroh was thinking about converting them all to DVD and doing a box set?
Maybe look around?

waves from hell! grew up on that vid!
the first ever totally DK vid, fumanchu..which wasnt allowed to sell here in SA beacause of the nudity etc in it..one of the best hiphop sountracks ever! AKA LAMAN, DK hero!

then the NOFRIENDS guys took over....insane from the get go!

QUESTION: WITH ALL THE NEW SCHOOL GUYS AROUND , THURSTON, CHRIS JAMES ETC DOES ANYONE MISS THE NOFRIENDS GENERATION OF FEATURED RIDERS AND DVDS?

I miss seing as much Ross, Roach and especially Skippy!

You still see Jeff everywhere (and rightly so) but it's a nostalgic thing, those guys were etched in to the subconscious of a whole generation of us, I almost felt I knew them I watched all the no friends videos so much, there styles probably had the most effect on a lot of us, being so eminant with the no friends series... It'd be cool for them to do like a where are they now catch up! I'd be stoked and I'd definitely buy it!

I still have "The Contest" and a bootleg copy of "Contorsion" on VHS.......plus an older Morey Vid with a few stupid interviews. Jay Reale, Mike Stewart and a very young Paul Roach, when he still rode a Mach 7-7.....ha ha ha ha

At the Surf Museam in Jeffreys Bay, there is an old (+-1996) VHS Shark Island bodyboarding video and a Glass Window.. haha. I couldnt believe it when I saw that.
