False Bay Shark Alert

Hey all,

not sure who has seen the Cape Argus today? Apparently a 10m whale washed up in Muizenberg surfers corner this morning that was half munched by sharks, they have closed the whole beach off and reckon the waters around there are a no go!

I would imagine some kind of feeding frenzy going on or the sharks are just keen to munch!! esp a huge whale which doesnt happen to often....something going on, well i know im keeping away from that side for a long time...lol

A very large white shark was caught off Sandun, China on March 15, 2008. According to the source(in Chinese), this shark was estimated 10 meters long (??), and when it was lifted by the hoist, the scale read 2.5 tons. Victor Lin pers. comm.

Aghh i think the whole whale thing is a good thing, keeps the sharks well feed and less curious for different food sources!

awe awe,ok ... while you guys stay on shore starin at da go00oo0od waves to scared to go in because of da sharks,i will be catching those waves that you guys will be missin out on!!!!!! Dont get me wrong,i dont mean muizenberg.I will never go in there for 3 reasons:1.da waves are k@k.2.to00o0o many surfers.3.and well,ja, the sharks . mass
