The ultimate board - ever!!!!

OK, so we've riding a large variety of boards over the years from Morey to Lazer 2, BZ to Wave warrior etc. What is the ultimate board? The Turbo 3, the BZ ben T10 The Science MS1? I'm talking about all round performance. Speed, manouverbility, projection etc. The field is open.......it could be a current model, or something from 25years ago. Remember the Mach7-7 or the Mach 7SS, even the Lazer 2MJ.

    Hey Kevin
Personally i would say the ultimate board was the mach 7-7 as it what defined boards then and even now.
Currently i am riding a science TR and it has the classic booger colours, yellow deck, black rails and orange slick.
The ben T10 also defined modern boards and shaping and lets not forget the progression wave rebel made in the DK deptment.
    Toobs and Challenger also rocked.
But end of the day the winner will always be the Mach 7-7.

Best allround board for me was the Custom X DUG.
But then there was my Manta Roach which pretty much took the cake aswell, even for proning!

But i think alot of peeps knew that already

my mate jan hendrik was attacked by a shark back in 98,i remember the cockwells sent him a board 2 weeks later wishing him well ,the board was a custom x dug.he rode it a couple of times
the following year.(was out of the water due to continious surgery).i later bought the board from him for R200, was so stoked.i got to agree that was one of the best board i ever rode.remember one session at impossibles where i busted the biggest ars landing in the flats and just seeing the standups expressions was classic, they were all hooting...i was so stoked.

Morey Mach VF or Turbo III! I didn't mind the yellow 7-7 but the Mike Stewart versions (black 7-7 and 7-40) were absolute shite. I bought the 7-7 and it fell apart after 3 months and 4 days. Total delamination! The warranty was only for 3 months!! My bro had the 7-40 and the same crap happened to that board. Complete waste of money.

CUSTOM X DUG!!!!!!!!!!! Man I bought one off a mate of mine. It had been ridden hard and wasn't in perfect nick but hell it rode like a demon. I still miss riding that board! I also had a Manta Skipp from Oz that was totally different materials from what we were getting here at the time. I still don't know what materials it was made from but it went like a rocket and launching off the lip was the easiest thing ever. It was super light as well!

These days, I'm def LOVING my ATD rail-to-rail. It's his new template made from the old materials with a couple of little tweaks to the shape. The board's a little on the heavy side but it's super maneuverable and works well in all conditions. ROCKING 8)
