hi guys. they broke into my friends car today when we went for a surf at derdesteen They took EVERYTHING...even our clothes. So please keep checking your cars when you surf there or get someone to chill in the car while you surf. and if anyone happens to spot a white and blue quiksilver bag or a black element bag thrown into the bushes around that area please take it and pm me or send me a email. I can only echo what you have said. Derdesteen is a hot spot for car break ins and car theft...
A couple weeks ago a booger had his car stolen while he was in the water. It was a Saturday, the beach was packed and no one noticed a thing.
Well...the guy left his car keys in a bag on the beach so nothing would be noticed, but that is besides the point.

Even sixty40's very own Ian Kruger and his mate Dan Worsley have been jacked at Derdes...

So if you drive a car like a Citi Golf, Conquest or any other car with a "soft" boot that is easily accessible through the front of your car via fold down seats you are prime targets.

The only advice i have is that you don't take anything valuable to the beach with you...and if you have electric locking system on your car...go to the locksmith and find out about getting a key cut. My mate had one done...it cost him R40 and now he doesn't have to stress about his keys while trying to enjoy a surf.

With that said...i am off to Derdes.
