Lots of rain overnight into Monday as another front passed. Winds Monday are moderate to fresh SW = manky onshore conditions along the western seaboard of Slaapstad, despite leftover 4-5' storm swell at SSW subsiding as it swings more and more southerly in direction. This brings False Bay into play, with building 3-4' lines but cross-shore West to SW winds. By Tuesday, the wind has died into a calm day, and False Bay cooking 4-6' South at 11 secs in glassy seas, a light bumpy SE onshore arriving in the arvie. On Wednesday, kiff leftover 3-4' lines around as the South swell eases, going more SSE. Winds light variable E to W, becoming offshore NW 5-10 kts.

I have just been informed that the Nomad Kalk Bay Shoot Out 2008 is ON in cooking 3 to 4 foot glassy conditions.

It is currently low tide and The Reef is firing on all cylinders!

Wow nice, cant wait to see who wins the event!! whens the prize giving?

you guys should have been at Kalkbay yesterday, was going off!! Probably around 4-6ft and draining so hectically off the reef.... check out this water shot below...man never been so scared of backdooring sections in my life, can only imagine what today is like!!

no that was my comparison of what i checked kalkbay doing yesterday haha....was funny rocked up there yesterday thinking few fun ones and what we thought was the reef / rock in clean water when we got closer was about good 10 owes plus out at about 11am in the morning?! dont people work or did everyone take a day off yesterday?
