Hi Can anyone help, my cat used my boyfriends rossi board as a scratch patch all over the deck, its his baby and he is not impressed, I have no clue about bodyboards but can I get the deck fixed or replaced or do I have to buy a new one? If I can get it fixed/replace who do I contact?
thanks so much for any help.

Hmmm yes any booger who is near our feline friends at any time has the fear of what happened to ur man's stick close at heart that I can assure u
I have like 4 boards which I keep faaaaar away from any cats reach cos it happened to me once and I swore NEVER AGAIN!!!
There's not much u can do about it really with regards to repairing it I think.
If its not too bad then it'll just look like he was/ surfs hardcore reef breaks and he has lost his board to the rocks a few times

If it is bad and he cant stand the site of it then u'd basically need to get a new board hey :?
Cos The materials are heat laminated & fused together so that each segment of the board is joined to the other where need be.

On the other hand u could argue that the damage is just really cosmetic and that the board wont perform any less
Also the indentations would also make the decks grip better, like tread on tyres LOL!!!
    Just add a lil wax.

    Bummer I know.
If anyone else knows of anything that Im not aware of then let the lady know!!!

    All the best.

    hi Kendyl

with a PE deck skin and trying to repair scratches like that, best thing is probably to pick off any loose shreds of foam that you can get off with your fingers. Then get a hold of some of that wax paper you wrap sandwiches in, and get your household iron, and with the heat hot but probably not quite maximum, and with the wax paper over the scratch, iron it for a couple seconds...not too long as you can overdo it and damage it more....but that might help to sorta heat seal the scratches. I don't recommend any glues or sealers as pretty much nothing sticks to PE skins, so it'll just peel off first surf.

As Craig said the damage is more cosmetic than really messing up the board, so don't stress too much about it. Anyway just general advice, maybe rossi will see this and give you some tips since it's his board.

While we're talking of animals damaging boards, bet nobody can beat this - my spare CustomX has tooth marks at the back from an otter... The little bugger really chowed down hard, must be a stand-up or something!

Back in the day i ha just gotten myself a brand spanking new Morey Mach F1...paid a small fortune for it at the time.

I was getting out after a miserable surf and noticed a pitbull playing with its owner on the shore. As i came closer to the shore the dog took an interest in the obviously odd looking person bouncing around in the white wash.

I washed up onto the sand and the dog ran straight for me. I could tell that it was a bit agro so i jumped up and it grabbed my board and started ragging it!

Oh my soul i have never been so angry...after it shook the board a few times its owner ordered it to let go and it did...

Typical me i mouthed off to a dutchman twice my size and almost got my head ripped from my shoulders...stupid darn dog!

But ya...Peterbee's story takes the cake...WFT...an otter!...where were you riding...on the Orange River?
