wow, good question indeed.... there is a lot in the differences in tails hey

most of it boils down to style, preferance etc...guess its upto you really

me, well tried going back to cresent about a year ago and couldnt ride it and didnt like it one bit, was little to tight on the tail for me. so only ride bat tail now

most of the ozzies ride cresent and they hardly touch bat anymore, probably due to different waves etc and styles.. but give them both a bash and see how you find it.

check out the new NMD and VS boards coming out end of the year as have loads of really good shapes in bats and cresent tails

what you riding at the moment?

well.... i think bat is a bit faster and its easier for spins, flips etc and cressent is more for control and holds better in bigger stuff... i ride cressent and have never realy tried bat but i dont think it makes a HUGE difference... its basicaly your personel preferance and wot you are used to.

I second what Mark has to say...

For me i found my Bat Tail was way too loose...and i would often slip out of the pocket at the critical moment while making bottom turns. Basically i found the tail too loose and i couldn't set my lines properly...i did however get used to it, but didn't find that it made a huge difference while doing any tricks.

I currently ride Cresent because i find that it helps when it comes to holding my line on a wave and i haven't slipped out while bottom turning since going back to Cresent...

Like Mark said...try both if you can...it is mostly about personal preference.

    Cheers

Mark: i'm currently riding a useless badboy board (No Channels, NOTHING) , but i'm waiting for my ATD.
I orderd a Crescent tail though, because I learnt to bodyboard with that tail.
But I'm actually glad I went for the crescent, because I'm starting to DK and I heard that DK dont go that good with a battail.

    Shot for all the answers.

Hey Ronald I reckon its best u stuck with the crescrent for now bro if thats wat u hav been learning on.
I have had sum really good boards both Bat & Crescent.
All of the above is tru with regards to ur style & preference tho too.
U might want ur stick to be a lil loose & manouverable in the pocket or u may be someone who prefers to gun straighter lines and bust out.
Im a huge DK fan so in a DK board I would stick to a Crescent, but on the other hand I have had Bat tail boards that held their own 4 the DK too.
Maybe in a lil while u will find a Bat tail that u can work well in all condition who knows?
Look at Spex, he carves it on a Bat in every way.
But for now I skeem u keep the crescent if ur thinking of honing ur DK skills

    Stay kiff.
