has anyone heard anything about plett wedge, havnt seen any photo's come out of the area since those huge swells that wrecked the place last year. does it still get good? Wanting to get out of cape town and hit the place up but had some failed missions there, I know the comp is still on so it obviously has a wave let me know and also is the NE offshore there?

    thanks guys

Plett Wedge is a beautyful and magical place so are the people i just some of them.

We went there not too long ago about 2months ago. Our micro-bus got broken into and all-all of our belonging was stoling. They couldnt transport all our goods, so they took the cash and ran.. i think that was the best idea. And left our clothes in a abandent house in the bushes close by.

But we scored perfect, glassy, swallow and hollow 4-5foot Wedge Barrells,Greatness! Works best on a west wind, low-twat.After the storm it caused a similar break like Sunset, near the Wedge.

P.S Dont trust the Car Guards, they wank off in the sun all day and plan too brake in your car, while you in the water..

BigUp too Sampi, his a leka chappi

    Cool dude enjoy your trip

    Hey Guys

Plett is fine, the flood we had last year created some new spots. Wedge and all the other spots are as good as ever... We haven't had much swell this year though... hence there not being much shots uploaded. Usual for summer though.

All is good in Plett as per usual.

Well it better have a wave because I'm going there for holiday for 10 days in July!!!

OH yeah baby!!! Just me and my GF and some Plett sickness!!!

BTW guys can you guys maybe recommend some non-surfing activities in the area as my GF aint too keen on me surfing all day every day ;)

And when I do surf, are the locals piele or poese??? hahahaha...but seriosuly though, is the vibe nice? I'm used to chill vibes of Bettiesbaai, so I don't dig people moering each other in the water over toobs...

Plett is lank chilled...good vibes and from what i have heard - not enough okes in the water to want to moer one another over waves. I have only ever been there for The Wedge Classic and SA Champs last year so i can't say for sure that what i just said is in fact how it is on a normal day, but i can't remember having ever heard of bad vibes in the water.

    Non-surf related activities...

Well in my opinion one of the best things to do up that side of the world is to go for a walk on one of the many scenic trails. Try driving into the Eastern Cape and spending some time at Storms River Mouth, or stop off and watch people jump off the highest Bungi in the world at Bloukrans River Bridge - if you've got it in you try it yourself - it's a rush! Or you could take a walk around Robberg, which is pretty cool, just watch out for the massive ants they bite like hell. For a less active experience go to Monkeyland or the Elephant Park...

For chow...there is only one place i recommend - Surf Cafe'. Kick ass venue, chilled surfer owners and the best darn burgers and nacho's this side of the equator.

Wow...is should become a tour rep!

well theres more to it then wedge as they all say and so many spots all over the show there, so as long as theres swell theres waves ;)

dont forget a really good spot around the corner that was in sixty40 issue 3 from Road Warriors

Ha ha... only a "secret" cause there's never enough guys to surf it. If you coming during Wedge Classic, you will have a hard time though... as crowded as Plett gets.

    Thanks Gareth!

I am lank keen to go for a walk in those forests and mountains...kinda weird hoe I am a huge Death/Black/Extreme Metal fanatic, but I just looove all those hippy luxuries of aerie faerie walks...LOL!!!

But as for that secret spot...it's pretty much like cage diving out there without the cage thank you very much, but no thanks.
