battling to find a board

been away for a few years and i'm back in sa on holiday and have been looking to treat myself to a new board. my buddy showed me the mag and this site ... nice one guys ... i had a look at some of the brands and see i can buy online but i'm travelling around and am also so out of it that i don't know the new bodyboards and i really want to be able to get my hands on the board before buying but i've been battling to find stores that are stocking a good range of top-end boards. got my eye on one but i'd like a good choice rather than just taking what is available. is it just the wrong season or where does everyone get their boards? i checked a lot of guys riding good boards so where do u get yours? for now i'm riding a board borrowed from my friends buddy but i fly up to durban next week and need to get a bodyboard here in CT or up in durban.

will hunt a bit more on saturday and try some other stores. not really online but will check back tomorrow before heading out. thanks guys

    Hey Jimmy D

I agree with James Bye 100%. The ATD's are great, custom boards with custom graphics.. and the price is great! I have ridden most of the board brands available to us in SA (except for VS, NMD and Nomad)... The pxl ATD's have lasted me the longest...

    Hope this helps

ATD's are your best bet I reckon. Three of my friends have got one and they all agree that ATD is sick!! Just got a sms from Al yesterday telling me that he is sending me my ATD Snap board today!! Can't wait!!! :D

Sorry guys, I'm sure punting your favourite brand is helpful but I think the Jimmy is after a surf store with a good range. (Cape Town or Durban)

i would also suggest trying PLANET SURF in durban.... they have a huge range of boards and are run by some realy rad guys.... they are located in town near North Beach.... Not exactly shure of what the road is though.... they got some crazy good prices... i cant remember what it used to be called but has changed to planet surf in the last year or so..... WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT SUPPORT VICTORY SURF AS THEY WILL TRY ANYTHING TO GET YOU TO BUY A HYDRO.... hahaha
