Roving Venue...huh?

Ok so i have heard this a lot over the last year...a roving venue.

Now i don't know where this translation came from or how Roaming became Roving, but here is the Wiki link to what Roving really is.

I always use the term "roving venue" for a contest that doesn't have a fixed venue. (Heard someone use it long ago, didn't really ever question the word, my first language being Afrikaans and all.) Turns out it does have a applicable meaning after all:

Oxford dictionary def:
rove. verb (roves, ROVING, roved) 1. travel constantly without a fixed destination. 2. (of eyes) look in all directions
