    Science - Thomas Robinson

41.5 Blue top skin, Red outer Rails, Yellow inner Rails, White bottom.

    PP Core, single stringer.

A good board, but i feel it is a bit too small for me.

ATD Rail2Rail stock template (old materials) with bat tail. One sick board! Loose in the pocket and good for launching. It's a bit heavy so it doesn't like the really small waves much. Surfed everything from munching shoreys to all sorts of reef breaks and the board rides well in all of them.

The HB B-Line is a beginner to intermediate board that. If you're anything more than that then look at getting a better board. I'd rather you buy a board that would suit your riding style and ability than have a board that is below your standard of riding ability.

Stringer, PP, and channels, all the bells and whistles you can ask for in a board, and the guy says he's a Novice...Should last at least 6 to 9 months if you're good to your board.

    hey Ronald

to answer your question, the percentages reflect approximate surface area of the total board, both above the widest point, and below the widest point.

If you're riding prone all the time, you'd want a board with more surface area at the top of the board, which would help support your body weight when you're shifted forward for speed. It also helps to have the wide point higher up on the board as this is sort of where your turns pivot off of.

Conversely if you DK heaps, you need a lower wide point, which in turn increases surface area below the widest point....since you'd be pivoting more off your knee.

If you do prone and DK, you'd be looking for some kind of inbetween values on the surface area, ie more 50/50, to balance between both styles of riding, and the fact that your body weight would be centred in two different places when riding one style or the other.

Anyway the percentages are just suggestions, hope they don't confuse you - they kinda help give a numeric value to what you're basically seeing with your eyes in previewing a shape when different specs are input for nose, tail etc etc. My own suggestion is that when you see a shape preview that just looks 'right' for you, go with that sort of guideline.

Shout if you have any other questions,

I'm not sure how all these things work, but I weight +- 45Kg and i'm about 1,65 meters -I'm only 14 years old
So what lenghts should the Nose, Width, tail, lenght and nose to wide point] be for the perfect Speed Merchant bodyboard according to my lenght and weight.

no worries - I'd say probably about a 40.5, which you can give or take a half inch on, depending on personal preference. And since you're pretty light, go for a thin board, around 50mm - this will make the board faster and also help you hold your edge and lay into turns harder - if you get something too thick you might have over buoyancy issues and lose control when you get too much speed.

And lastly if you ride a bat tail, you can chop off a half inch on board length if you like - but I wouldn't go any less than 40.

cool ronald - the board would be R800 with sealed air skins, or R950 with PXL skins - slick is the same either way....digital printed slick is +R200. The sale will probably go to the end of this month or so, so prices are good until then.
Shoot me an email if you have any other questions,
    thx
