Congrats on the win hey!! anyway if you scroll down about 8 or 9 posts in the General BB Forum you will see i did the exactly the same post about 2 months ago and still no improvement on the chatroom there is only a few ppl who utilise it and it would be rad if the cape town boys did so we can get feeds on breaks and upcoming swells. so to all the capetonian BB's let us now hey

OK, here's a hint.
When you go online, open up the chat room even if no-one is in there and then minimise it, you can even browse away from sixty40 and keep the chat room open.
If all you do is open it up and close it when you see no-one is in there then chances are you'll never see anyone in the chat room.
You can minimise - if you have your sound on then you will hear when someone enters the chat room.
I am online quite a bit but unfortunately, when I am online I am usually working on the site so don't have any time to chat. I'll pop in if I have any time.

Dude ok i have a Q for ya, NO in fact just wondering why the chatroom doesnt work sometimes like i write a reply and it takes forever to get there or not at all and sometimes it works fine?? is it cos you doing work on it at that time?
anyway my homepage is this site and after ive logged in i open the chatroom and keep it open in the system tray!! its a god idea i suggest all those others use it too.

OK - just went into the chat room and it was terrible - dropping connection, messages not being delivered. However, my connection was shocking and downloading normal pages was shocking too. So general performance will most likely have an effect on the chatroom.
It's a bit of a tough one trying to get the hosting company to check out performance when there are many factors that could affect performance.
I was going to take a look, but first checked the rest of the site so on this occassion it is more a performance issue than the chatroom being broken. Which could have been your problem.
Let me know if you're experiencing these problems again and check if you can download pages from the site OK. If you're battling to hold your connection then you're going to have problems in the chatroom.
Apologies for the poor performance bru - if I can find anything that points to being an error on my side then I will sort it out.
Then on the case of meeting people in the chatroom - if you have spoken to someone through the chatroom and would be keen to hook up with them again then just let them know what time you are generally online or actually arrange a date/time ... send a PM if necessary.

Really its no big heavy man, if it works i chat, if it doesnt then tough, i have only chatted once or twice properly to people and thats cos there aint many of them there> anyway ya thats what was happening to me aswell man, but it was only with this site BUT!! only once i clicked the chatrom button the rest of the time was fine on the site, the room was working hundreds about a month ago streaming nicely and no glitches its just this morning and most of today Kel.

Ok Guys
I have chatted with Kelly and we came to the conclusion that with the chatroom users if you have a dial up 56k modem like me IE: your not using adsl or isdn or diginet blah blah and you have either other numerous pages open or your downloading songs, pages, porn etc etc then you might find diffuculty in using the chatroom it might not ne the case for everyone but im warning you all before you give kelly hell as i did, then found out it was actually from my side
