So i come onto this site this morning, and i read Bodyboarders are just failed Surfers... listed like 5 times over, its the same old bullshit. At the same time i am directing a yank from wavescape to this site cos his son is a booger and coming out here and has heard about how close the saffa bodyboard community is... now he comes here and reads that... PEOPLE WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE, a statement and string like that just adds feul to their fire, surfers will till dooms day take the piss out of every other water sport, get over it, but for international people to come here and read those negative forum topics makes me feel ashamed. We sound like a bunch of windging fools, beating the same dead horse over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Now lets carry on discussing things like the upcoming Cape Classic, who is gonna win the Big wave photo contest, the aweful raid by the cowardly police force on innocent students in stellenbosch, wades encounters with lesbians pr the fact that elementree snapped his newish (wont name local board brand) bodyboard in 2ft derde steen shore break.

    Fuck okes, get over it.
    move on.

haha, Ironically 'not naming' the local board brand (there are only two local board brands) is sort of giving it away already... But im sure everyone has worked out which board that is/was by now anyway 8) . Good thing they introducing a stringer system and doing away with that core..

Who remembers the cover of the last issue of the South African Bodyboarding Magazine?

haha I speak the truth, I hassled that guy for so much info about traveling haha turns out west oz isnt epic everyday and they get 3 weeks of onshore and Northpoint cranks like twice a year with 60+ people on it. Now thats what I want to hear about OZ. haha

Haha the banks are so bad, it didnt even get low enough for the inside and the wind has to much south in it an theres this kaka wobble in the water, Im blaming lack of sand.

A little birdy told me that there were waves at certain spot yesterday, but I dont go there. haha hope you find something, wind is unpleasant to say the least.

West Oz rocks hard if you spend a bit of time waiting for waves and exploring a bit. Watching 10ft Northpoint from the water is an experience that never leaves you...
Flip, even Indo has flat spells, but I scored 1 good week out of 3 there and it made it worthwhile.

Just a quick one cause I know we have all flogged this subject....BUT.......

I was longboarding this w/end cause the waves were 2ft, this is how it played out...... Tying that 9ft board to the roof....was a mission.....carrying it to the water....was a mission.....paddeling.....was a mission.....getting into position to paddle for a wave....was a mission.....standing up going backhand..... fairly easy.....keeping my balance.....fairly easy......GETTING DROPPED IN ON BY A BODYBOARDER.......that super sucked! None of the stand-ups dropped in , but the only BBer in the water drops in. Come on guys if we want respect in the water, we have to give it. Enough said!
