    Hi Jovi

For that you'll need to go to the Sport Unlimited Cape Classic contest page by clicking on the link below.

Sport Unlimited Cape Classic Contest Page

Once there, click on the Contest Entry Form link...it is highlighted in BLUE

This should link you to the online entry form, which you will need to fill out by filling your details (name, age etc...), as well as the divisions into which you will be entering.

You will notice that the fees for both the Sport Unlimited Cape Classic and SABA membership are there...

NB - You need to be a SABA member in order to compete in the Classic and any other SABA events, it is a once off, annual payment.

Once you have worked out how much it is going to cost you, fill in the cost in the allocated cell.

Only once you have filled in all the details and submitted your entry will you be notified of the banking details - into which you can deposit your monies.

If you are having any trouble please contact me.

    [email protected]

    or

    072 740 4225

    Hope you come right...

    Later

Thanks G - just a quick one from me ...

For everyone - the online entry is new and therefore, I expect teething problems so please get your entries in ASAP and if there are any issues, please raise them - I can't address them if I don't know that anyone is having trouble. And please be specific by giving me a description of the problem you are having.

Once you have your profile set-up it is extremely simple to enter online but if you do not have an account with sixty40 then the online entry will take you through the following:

    1. Registration - you need an email address. If you don't have one, go to http://www.gmail.com, http://www.webmail.co.za, http://www.hotmail.com or http://www.yahoo.com to sign up for an email address. Everyone should have one and if I was to recommend one it would be Gmail.
    2. Set-up your bodyboarding profile e.g. a profile page for Kelly Footit - we need this so we can record your results and calculate your SABA ranking.
    3. You then need to go back to the online entry form to enter - once you have completed the entry form, you will get a confirmation on screen of your entry + an email. If you do not get the confirmation on screen then you have not entered.

    Don't leave it too late!

koslovski001 - We are having a roaming venue, so it is going to be held at various locations around the peninsula. Basically, where ever the best waves are on the day is where we will be riding.

Bummer for onlookers, but we have a plan.

The WPBA will be setting up an answering machine, so that all can know where we are on the day.

I will post the number once we have it.

    Thanks for the interest bro!

well, spy, thats why we have something called koeel bay an the entire west coast......

    March 2008
technically koeel bay is boland bru, and as history dictates, the cape classic always ends up at 1-2ft sideshore glen beach, king darrens local hangout.

the boland crew do not have a problem with WP if they have cape classic in koelbay. its still part of the greater cape. the last two years glenbeach were 1-2ft while koelbay were 3-4 perfect. i think WP is on the right parth with their comp attitude. i just hope i get to the back if the waves are bigger than 2ft. if i can enter at my age (46 in two months) then what about the very young spy dude.

    Aaaaaarg! not Koel Bay!

The drive is such a mission for 2 days in row! and the walk down...

    HOEK, HOEK, HOEK..all the way!!!!
  • Len at ScienceLen at Science
    March 2008
how are you going to get to hoek with the two oceans on at the same time. WP did , as far as i know < organized a bus to take the riders to the venues. and you can only complain about the walk down (koelbay) if you are over 60 and toooooo fat.

  • March 2008
hmm odd cause i remember the WP Champs being held at Koel Bay about 2 years ago i think it was...

No i reckon it will go down well and the arrangements and sponsors and everything will be sick!

roaming venue just means more oppertunities for good waves to be ridden...take it also the calls need to be monitoring those swell chats the week upto the contest also ;)

mind you now that i think about it.. when the contest is held somewhere nuts im going to have Glen beach and 2ft all to myself, wahoooo!

but wasnt the cape classic 2 years ago held in solid 6ft glen beach ?

    hit and miss

hahhaha, spy dude dont surf contests.. as a rule, but i will be there to take photos and stuff. and dodge wade, cos he is dodgy and deon is gay so i must dodge him too... not that there is anything wrong with gay people, hate the sin, not the sinner, its just deon.. and wade.. ya... and Len if he tried to con me into riding, so whos up for a game of dodgeball with spanners then... i'll leave the masters up to stevo to fight it out with himself.

  • March 2008
