    Hmmm...
It's good all year round for Bintang but waves I think it'd be June through August, early or late in the season may have less crowds but I don't think waves are 100% guaranteed.

It's definitely still got crowds unless you travel for as many days as you can stand away from Bali or any of the main islands...

    You will score!

hit it anytime from around april till the end of september. june/july/august are the most popular and the most crowded months. i'd recommend september - definitly my best trips. stay at the gong at uluwatu - so cheap and sick, and super friendly to saffa's - for about 40 000rp (R35) per night for two people sharing (with a bit of haggling). get a scooter for 20 000 - 30 000rp per day and you're sorted. When you arrive in Denpasar find a taxi driver (preferably a metered taxi) and tell him you'll give him 80 000 to take you to the gong. if you wanna escape the crowds go to mission around the islands, so sick. boats aren't always the best option but sick if you've got the cash... hire a car with some others get on the ferry and cruise to lombok stay at desert point then hit sumbawa. or do it by bus if you're on a tight budget or can't handle the roads (it gets hectic) - but you gotta know what busses go where and how much they cost otherwise you'll get seriously ripped off. pm me if you wanna know anything else.
