In regard to CORTES BANK~
Cortes Bank is located at the extreme, south of California(Mexican border) and 105 miles west, out in the ocean, accessible by boat only. Ghost Tree is located in Central California, closer to and South of San Francisco/Santa Cruz, in the Monterey Peninsula. Mavericks is close to the north, but south of San Francisco also. The same swell would not affect both locations, as in Cortes and Ghost T. Winter time, which we are in right now, is the best time to catch big swell up and down the coast of California.
